Crude oil price 26 March 2026: The chances of the war ending in the Middle East have reduced again, due to which there is a sharp rise in crude oil prices.

Crude oil prices cross $100 again, experts predict a rise to $150
Crude oil prices are rising again today, March 26th. Brent crude oil prices rose 1.45% to $103.969 per barrel. US West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose $1.08, or 1.2%, to $91.40 per barrel. This rise today is due to Iran's denial of the possibility of a war escalation, following US President Donald Trump's claim yesterday that Crude oil prices plummeted. Trump claimed he planned to hold peace talks with Iran. Iran responded by saying it was still reviewing the US proposal to end the conflict.
Iran is reviewing
Iran's Foreign Minister stated yesterday that Iran has no intention of engaging in peace talks at this time. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has warned Iran that if it does not accept the US proposal, the US will escalate its attacks.
Iran has also reported that Trump's proposal includes eliminating Iran's uranium reserves, restricting its ballistic missile program, and stopping enrichment activities. Furthermore, it also demands a reduction in funding to regional allies. Therefore, Iran has refused to accept this US proposal.
What do experts say?
Kotak Securities' Kaynat Chainwala says that if the Middle East tensions continue for a long time, oil prices could reach $120 to $150 per barrel in the future. Nuwama Institutional Equities also believes that the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz could lead to a global crude oil supply crisis, which could lead to oil prices reaching $110 to $150 per barrel.
Open road to Allied power
Iran has kept the Strait of Hormuz closed, but recently a statement has been issued by the Iranian Foreign Ministry that this route is open for its friendly countries like India, China, Russia, Iraq and Pakistan.
