Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles sold a total of 66,971 units in March 2026, a 29 percent increase from 51,872 units sold in March 2025. Domestic sales stood at 66,192 units, compared to 51,616 units in the same month last year, representing a 28 percent increase in domestic sales.
Tata Motors' international business has also grown rapidly. In March 2026, Tata Motors sold 779 units of vehicles abroad, compared to just 256 units the previous year, representing a more than threefold increase.
Tata Motors March 2026 EV Sales
Tata Motors' electric vehicle (EV) sales have also seen a significant jump. In March 2026, the company sold 9,494 EVs, a 77 percent increase from 5,353 units the previous year. These EV sales demonstrate the rapid shift towards electric vehicles in India.

According to Shailesh Chandra, MD and CEO of the company, fiscal year 2026 was a significant year for Tata Motors, achieving its highest annual sales ever and ranking second in the industry. He stated that growing demand in the SUV, CNG, and EV segments will continue to drive growth.
