Mahindra & Mahindra car prices hiked
Mahindra & Mahindra is increasing vehicle prices by a maximum of 2.5 percent. However, the average increase will be around 1.6 percent. This change will apply to several models of the company's petrol and diesel (ICE) SUVs and commercial vehicles.
Why is Mahindra increasing the price of cars?
The company stated that the cost of raw materials, logistics, and other essential components used in vehicle manufacturing is steadily increasing. This has led to increased production costs. Auto companies typically adjust prices in such situations to offset the impact of rising costs.
If you're planning to buy the recently launched Mahindra XUV7XO, there's some relief for you. The company says the first 40,000 customers will receive the car at the old price. Only after that will the price increase be implemented. This is called "price protection," which ensures that early adopters are not affected by the price increase.
Mahindra isn't the only auto company increasing the prices of its cars. Previously, several major automakers, including Tata and Hyundai, have also increased the prices of their cars.
